This insurance does not cover claims arising directly or indirectly when the Insured travelled to or through: Afghanistan, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria. (The information above is subject to change.)

Eligibility

This Policy is only available to You if You:

  • are living in Singapore;
  • hold a valid Singapore identification document such as a Singapore passport, national registration identification card, employment pass, work permit, long-term visit pass or student pass;
  • start and end Your Trip in Singapore;
  • have fully paid Your premium;
  • are not an undischarged bankrupt;
  • have not committed an act of bankruptcy within the last 12 months;
  • have bought the Policy before You leave Singapore and the coverage date starts before You leave Singapore; and
  • are more than 30 days old.

Family Plan:

  1. one Adult, or two Adults who are in a marital relationship or partners at the time of applying for the Policy; and
  2. their Children under the same Policy.

The Child(ren) must be the legal child, or a ward, of the Adult and who is less than 21 years old or less than 25 years old in a full-time tertiary institution and is not married or employed.

FAQ

What is cashless outpatient service?

This is a service made available under both our Single Trip and Annual Travel Insurance exclusively for trips to Japan and can only be activated while you are travelling in Japan. When cashless outpatient service is required, you simply need to call our Assistance Company at (65) 6532 2522 and they will inform you if your request is approved and arrange for an outpatient medical appointment at a medical facility within their accredited network. No upfront payment for outpatient treatment costs will be collected at the medical facility for approved requests.

Can I submit a claim for outpatient medical expenses incurred in Japan if I did not use the cashless outpatient service?

Yes, you can still submit a claim under Section 13 (Medical expenses overseas) or Section 26 (Medical expenses overseas due to COVID-19) for outpatient medical expenses incurred. Policy terms and conditions apply.

Important Notices

In the event of the happening or warning of any riot, strike or civil commotion, war or war like situations, health threatening situations, natural disasters for which travel advisory is issued by the authorities recommending postponement of all non-essential travel, the policy shall not cover such events unless the journey had already commenced prior to the advisory.

This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
